Andrew Parker is a specialist in government and media management. His campaigns have won many awards including those for Emirates, CSL, WMC and Cochlear. He began his career with The Australian Newspaper and News Limited Group. He has also worked as a journalist and producer for the Nine Network. In the mid 1990s, Andrew worked as the Federal Opposition Leader's Press Secretary. He also worked as a Senior Adviser for the NSW Government. Prior to forming P&P in 1998, Andrew was GM of a large international public affairs firm. He is a Board Member of the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame. In 2008, Andrew became Chairman of P&P as well as taking on the new role of Senior Vice President, Public and Environmental Affairs, for Emirates Airline in Dubai
An experienced political and policy consultant, Sarah has more than a dozen years' experience in leading complex communications campaigns on behalf of government, business and the community. Since joining Parker & Partners in 2002 she has led a number of the company's flagship (and award winning) client accounts including the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, WMC Resources and Unisys.
Sarah is particularly experienced in the public policy issues and challenges facing Australian industry, as well as the inextricable link between business operations and the increasing social and environmental considerations driven by community and government. Advocacy and issues management programs of hers include working alongside EDS, BlueScope Steel, the Ricegrowers’ Association of Australia, AMGEN, Cochlear, Virgin Money, Microsoft, Republic Gold, Newcrest Mining and Boral. Her experience in effective stakeholder and community engagement, research and evaluation, and whole-of-program issues management has been keen to these client successes.
A former political adviser to Federal Government, Sarah also spent three years in a senior advocacy role at the State Chamber of Commerce of NSW.
Greg Sam is a specialist in government and public health having worked at the Senior Executive level in Federal and state health systems over many years. He has also worked for the World Health Organisation and the Asian Development Bank and World Bank. Greg holds a Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Arts -Administration. He has led major assignments for P&P in the areas of vaccines, health and social policy and other government relations and policy reform campaigns. Greg holds a number of Board positions including The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council, The Asthma Foundation of the ACT, L2S Communications NZ and Vaxine Pty Ltd.
Rod Cameron

Strategic advice, research, political and public opinion for client campaignsRod Cameron was the ALP's pollster for close to two decades. Following critical involvement in four election victories for Prime Ministers Hawke and Keating, Rod established Australian National Opinion Polls (ANOP). ANOP is now Australia's premier polling and research business and is part of the Singleton Ogilvy and Mather group. Rod is a Director of Parker & Partners and plays a critical role with strategic advice and high-end assignments involving research, political and public opinion for our client campaigns.
Joining Parker & Partners Canberra office in 2004, Phil brings expertise in human resources, finance, administration and operational support including contract management, client research and evaluation reporting. Experienced in developing and administering key requirements and in-depth analysis of project information, Phil understands the specific reporting needs for both private and public sector clients. Phil has worked with the team on a number of clients, such as Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Department of Education, Science and Training, CSL, Emirates and National Heart Foundation to meet the key operational requirements.

A specialist consultant, he is Professor of Primary Care at the University of Queensland and has recently completed a six year tenure with the PBAC as primary and secondary discussant. A highly qualified adviser on PBAC processes, pricing and reimbursement, and market access strategies, David has degrees in pharmacology, medicine and epidemiology. He has dual registration as a specialist in general practice as well as in public health medicine.
Michelle Hindson

Based in Melbourne, Michelle has worked for clients such as GSK, Kraft, BlueScope Steel, IVF Australia and Epworth Hospital. She has worked in-house as General Manager Corporate Affairs for WMC Resources as well as Vodafone Pacific. She has also worked for Australian Consolidated Press.
Peter Shmigel is one of Australia's sustainability leaders. Through end-to-end counsel on strategic, operational and communications issues, he creates value through client environmental and social performance. Peter specialises in strategy development, policy analysis and stakeholder engagement. Past roles include Chief of Staff to a Minister for Environment, Corporate Environmental Affairs Manager for Telstra, CEO of an environmental management association and consultant to corporate, government and NGO clients.
Michelle Parker is a specialist in public affairs event management, communications and media. She has over 20 years experience in the communications industry and multi-media, including running her own highly successful business in media and communications. She has been involved in many communication campaigns for prominent government, media and corporate clients. At P&P Michelle manages most of our public affairs events for clients, many of which have won major awards.
Trent Mumford joined Parker & Partners in 2003 and leads its Transport and Aviation Portfolio.
A specialist in government relations, regulatory affairs and media and issues management he has considerable experience providing strategic advice to the finance, transport and infrastructure sectors on complex acquisitions, tenders, regulatory negotiations.
Prior to joining P&P, Trent was a political and media adviser in the Howard Government, and previously an analyst in the NSW Premier's Department and adviser to the Deputy Leader of the NSW Liberal Party. Trent has a Bachelor of Economics from University of Sydney.
Alicia Burgmann earned her Communications degree, specialising in public relations, at the University of Canberra and has managed a range of successful client projects in Government communications, media relations and event management. She has worked on many national and international campaigns for organisations including the Dept of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Kraft Foods, Unilever, the Central Markets of Australia, the Heart Foundation and the National Food Industry Strategy.
Sharon Tuffin

Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from the Australian National University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health from the La Trobe University. With over 12 years experience in the public sector, Sharon has an in-depth understanding of the machinery of government and government communications. Sharon is an expert adviser in health and social policy and an experienced project manager for some of our blue ribbon clients. Current and former clients include: Nestlé, DEST, AstraZeneca, Merck Sharp and Dohme, the Green Building Council of Australia and the GRDC.
David has had a diverse career in communications, politics, public policy and strategic issues management focused on the ICT sector. He has a thorough understanding of the operations of the media, industry and community stakeholders and government - at both the political and policy levels. Starting his career as a journalist on telecommunications and IT, he has been an adviser on a range of policy issues to three Australian Government Ministers in the Communications, Information Technology and the Arts portfolio. Before joining P&P he was a Director in the Department of Finance and Administration working on whole of government ICT policy.
Rhylla Morgan is a media relations specialist with ten years' experience in government public affairs. Prior to joining P&P she was media liaison for the US Consulate General advising on public diplomacy and local media management of issues including military operations, trade negotiations and major government visits. She has a strong background in crisis management as well as community outreach programs. She also worked for the British Consulate-General in public affairs, protocol and event management.
Simon has a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University. A specialist in strategic communications, Simon has worked for the Federal Government, an international think-tank and in the private sector for research and communications agencies. He has a background in strategic communications research, public opinion polling and social-marketing. Simon has worked for clients in the financial services sector, the union movement, the not-for-profit sector as well as for a number of State Government Departments. Before going to Oxford, Simon worked as a staffer for two Federal Shadow Ministers.
Ingrid Cornander has been working as a sustainability consultant for the last four years. She holds a Masters of Environmental Engineering from Sweden and is considered one of Australia’s leading practitioners of Life Cycle Assessment. She has diverse experience in environmental management and engineering including strategy development, environmental performance assessment and sustainability reporting. She has further experience in the area of carbon balance calculations, carbon neutrality, cost benefit analysis and waste management and policy.
Jodie Jansen has a strong background in media, public affairs events, politics and government relations. Jodie was previously a media adviser to the Hon Kim C Beazley during his time as Leader of the Opposition and National President of the National Union of Students. Her 2004 Federal election campaign was in the SMH?s top ten campaigns. Jodie holds postgraduate qualifications in Marketing Communications from the University of Canberra and an undergraduate Arts/Law Degree from QUT.
Josh has a broad depth of experience in government relations, media relations and public affairs strategy. Prior to joining P&P, Josh spent five years in the role of special projects manager and then public affairs officer at a major ethnic-advocacy organisation advising the CEO and Executive on matters pertaining to issues of tactical importance. Josh studied political science at UNSW and is currently completing a master’s degree in strategic public relations at the University of Sydney.
Joining P&P from a key national health and social welfare research agency, Elizabeth is a key member of P&P’s Research Specialisation. Based in the Canberra office, she is particularly experienced in the food, agriculture and health sectors and has worked with clients such as Kraft, the Ricegrowers’ Association of Australia (RGA), Goodman Fielder, CSL, Merck and Disability and Aged Information Services Incorporated (DAISI) on a range of research, government relations and media programs. Elizabeth has also completed a degree in Communications and Media Specialising in Public Relations at the University of Canberra.
Kaitlyn is experienced in media and event management, with recent client successes including Google, Amgen, AstraZeneca and Emirates. A product of the Defence community, Kaitlyn is a specialist in P&P’s Defence and ICT portfolio, and undertakes many of the key tactical elements of client programs. Kaitlyn holds a Arts/Communication degree from Charles Sturt University in Public Relations and Organisational Communication.
Byron Danby is a specialist in government relations with a broad range of experience in media, event, community consultation and public relations. Continuing from his previous experiences in both the government and public relations sectors he has been involved in many campaigns for well known government and corporate clients. Byron brings a particular understanding of matters relating to defence, international relations, ICT and has extensive experience in the field of crisis management. Byron is currently completing his BA at UTS.
